Why is it worth choosing a logo designed by an experienced team?

A professional company logo is a fundamental element of visual identity. It should stand out in a positive way and be memorable. A logo influences brand recognition and determines the first impression.

Some entrepreneurs attempt to design a logo themselves, despite their lack of experience. If you want to be successful, entrust this task to an experienced team. Find out why it's worth it.

  • A well-designed logo will stay with your business for years, and you can always refresh it if necessary.
  • Each project requires an individual approach, analysis of the industry, competition and business objectives.
  • An experienced team of designers has hundreds of projects under their belt, knows the market inside out and will apply solutions to your logo that will appeal to your target audience.

A logo is the first step to success

If you want your business to be successful, you should focus on every detail that can affect its image. A logo is one of those elements that can effectively attract a customer's attention or, on the contrary, discourage them from your company. It will appear on advertising materials, products, the company website, in email signatures, on envelopes, letterhead or possibly on employee clothing, so it must be refined.

According to Conversion XL, a website user forms an opinion about a website in just 17 ms – that's how much time you have to make a good first impression. To begin with, the internet user will probably notice the area where your brand logo is located. If it does not attract attention, is not catchy and distinctive, it is possible that the website will be negatively evaluated from the outset and the user will quickly leave the page. Meanwhile, your goal is to keep the user on the site for longer – you want them to familiarise themselves with your offer, send an enquiry, order a product – a professional company logo is one of the foundations for achieving this effect. It serves a very important function and should look attractive on the website, fan page, envelope, letterhead, products and other solutions.

Nowadays, most of us are busy and lack time for basic responsibilities. Perhaps you, too, often look at the shelf while shopping and reach for products with a familiar manufacturer's logo. You may have seen it in a TV commercial, on the internet, in the press, or perhaps at a friend's house. You chose a logo that you simply recognise, and many customers do the same.

What should your logo be like and why is it worth entrusting its design to a professional?

A logo should be easy to remember, original, but at the same time legible and simple. If you look at the logos of many well-known brands, you will notice that these companies have opted for gradual simplification. A perfect example is Pepsi, one of the most famous brands in the world. Take a look at how its logo has changed:

The company has gone from a very complex to a very simple logo. Other brands, such as Apple and Canon, have also opted for simplification. The key to these projects is that the professional company logo is always adapted to current trends and customer expectations. Specialists observe market changes, taking into account the results of research and analysis. Keep in mind that refreshing a logo or creating one for a completely new brand requires a different approach.

Recently, one of the topics of discussion has been the descriptiveness of a logo, i.e. whether the logotype contains an element or text that suggests what the company does. Research on this topic was conducted by Dr Jonathan Luffarelli from Montpellier Business School in France, Dr Mudra Mukesh from the University of Westminster in London and Ammara Mahmood from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. What are the conclusions?

Currently, 40% of companies use logos without descriptions, while 60% opt for descriptive ones. The study asked 2,000 respondents to evaluate 597 different logos. They clearly indicated that descriptive logos allow customers to identify more easily with a given brand and also increase their willingness to buy its products.

However, descriptive logos are not necessarily the best solution for every brand – in the case of well-known companies, such logos can even evoke negative associations.

Why should a logo be designed by an experienced team?

A professional logo will effectively fulfil its function. In fact, there are many reasons for this choice, and it is worth paying attention to all of them:

  • Specialists involved in creating a company logo are properly prepared for this task. They are familiar with, among other things, research on the aforementioned descriptive logos. Cooperation with an agency begins with a creative brief. The process then involves analysing the client's market and target groups, preparing a preliminary design, making corrections and finally delivering the logotype in several formats.
  • An experienced designer has dozens, or even hundreds, of projects under their belt. They are very familiar with various markets and know what mistakes other companies have made when they approached logo design in an unprofessional manner. Thanks to this, these mistakes will not be repeated in your project.
  • A well-known brand should always rely on a team of experienced professionals, as any mistakes made during the project can have very costly consequences. A specialist who does not have many projects under their belt and works without the support of marketing experts may create a logo that will be negatively received by the company's customers and adversely affect its image.
  • A logo is your trademark, a symbol that customers will associate with your brand and products. A well-executed design will not need to be replaced for years, and only an experienced team of experts can prepare such a design. In the future, it will only need to be refreshed.
  • Working with an inexperienced designer carries the risk of communication problems, misunderstandings and, above all, entrusting the task to someone who does not have sufficient knowledge to create a professional logo from A to Z.

Before a professional company logo is created, the designer and the client must go through the necessary stages of the process. Of course, you can take shortcuts, skip market and industry analysis, and complete the order quickly, but is this how a logo that will appear in advertisements, on products, envelopes, websites and more should be created? The right step is to rely on the professional work of an experienced team.

How much does a professional logo design cost?

As you already know, before a professional company logo is created, an experienced team of designers must first prepare preliminary ideas based on the collected data. Ultimately, you will receive a selected proposal, to which any necessary corrections will then be made. The cost of this process depends on the project in question and starts at £3,000. A specific quote can be provided after initial contact with the team of specialists.

Please note that when you decide on a surprisingly cheap service, you are choosing an offer in which elements of this process will be omitted. It is possible that your logo will be created at lightning speed, based on previous projects by an inexperienced designer, and will not take into account your industry, market and business goals.

Do you expect your logo to contribute to the success of your business? Then choose a professional company logo created by a team of experts.
